R. nudipes

Corolla is rose purple of this Japanese native.  Leaves are rhombic.  There are three subspecies and varieties of this species according to David Chamberlain.  There are eight to ten stamens.

R. nudipes would appreciate: small amounts of fertilizer on Valentine's day and Mother's Day, gentle watering that keeps it moist and good drainage with well aerated soil.

Flowers open before leaves.

A darker pink form.

A light and airy presentation of flowers.
