"Every plant has a story . . . ."

R. niveum

This plant was grown from seed here in Western Washington.  This rounded evergreen bush has wonderful smoky light purple flowers in a nice, full truss.

The silvery-gray-white indumentum on the undersides of the leaves is lovely.

Niveum should grow to about 6 feet in 10 years in your partly shady garden.

This rhododendron will like:  50% shade - Small amounts of fertilizer on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day - Gentle Watering - Well aerated soil

The purples are difficult to photograph and capture the true color!

Color is very close on this one!
