"Every plant has a story . . . ."

R. erosum

This is the new growth of this plant as it begins to expand!  Talk about a chocolate fix - and all those hairs too.  The flowers are a very bright red in February or March -- just the thing to remind us it's almost spring.

Erosum will like:  a mix of sun and shade, small amounts of fertilizer on Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, gentle watering, well aerated soil with good drainage.  It's hardy for Western Washington.

Full trusses with very nice mature foliage

Note the nectar pouches.  Beautiful.  (Photo by Hank Helm)
