This is the new growth of this plant as it begins to expand! Talk about a chocolate fix - and all those hairs too. The flowers are a very bright red in February or March -- just the thing to remind us it's almost spring. Erosum will like: a mix of sun and shade, small amounts of fertilizer on Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, gentle watering, well aerated soil with good drainage. It's hardy for Western Washington.
