"Every plant has a story . . . ."

R. coeloneuron

In its native land, this plant comes from S.E. Sichuan and N. Guizhou, China.  A species that is still being sorted out.  Plants with thicker indumentum and from Erling Shan in central-west Sichaun are probably variations of R. wiltonii according to Cox.  A plant that will eventually become a tall shrub.  Nice rufous-tomentose leaves.

A seldom seen rare species with those beautiful full pink trusses.

This rhododendron will like partial Shade.  It would love a woodland canopy.   Provide
small amounts of fertilizer on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, Gentle watering, Well-aerated soil with good drainage.

This plants hardiness has not been fully tested, but appears to be hardy in Western Washington

Note the red flower pedicels (Photo by Hank Helm)

Perfect trusses in soft pink  Will look good even if you can't provide the moss covered log! (Photo by Hank Helm)

A little darker flower in this selection

Lovely indumentum is a bonus (if one is needed)
