R. arboreum

R. arboreum is a regal rhododendron which adds a distinctive touch of class to your garden.  This form has polished gold plastered indumentum on its dark, shiny green leaves.

Since these were grown from seed collected in Arundel Purdesh, India, the flowers may be red, pink, or white.  People who live there tole those who collected the seed (blooms unseen) that the flowers were red.

Our arboreum rhodies grew to fifteen feet in 25 years, and have lived in the garden most of that time.  Some have bloomed pink/red, some pink/white, some red, some white.

R. arboreum will like:  filtered sun, small amounts of fertilizer on Valentine's Day and Mothers Day

Gentle watering
